Nathan and Katie had gone to see The Nutcracker for their 5 year Anniversary. He then took her to dinner and afterwards brought her to Le Cheile to meet up with some friends for piano karaoke. When she walked into a side room, she saw a path of candles that led to a table with a record player and a note.

The note instructed Katie to put the needle on the record so their song would start playing. She then began to read the letter of Nathan’s proposal, and as she read, Nathan started reciting it behind her.
