Because not only do you want incredible photos, you want someone you can connect with, who will understand your vibe and fit in with your crowd. Someone who
will care about your wedding as much as you do.
As you're probably figuring out, planning a wedding can go from new
and exciting to demanding and kinda crazy really quickly.
And to top it all off, the thought of trusting a stranger to photograph this once-in-a-lifetime day gives you a touch of (very understandable) anxiety.
I used to be a singer/actor on Broadway, and I never thought I’d do anything
else because I loved it that much.
In 2012, I created the perfect side gig as a professional headshot photographer, which allowed me to have super fun photo shoots during the day
while performing in shows at night. My life was made.
I married my amazing husband Trey. And I fell
in love with our wedding. My very own wedding
photographer changed the course of my life
when he strongly encouraged me to give wedding photography a try.
And once I did, there was no turning back for me.
The thrill of being onstage paled in
comparison with the thrill of real life’s
most intimate and emotional moments.
I.was.obsessed.
And so my journey as a wedding
photographer began.
And it's been an absolute dream.
The truth is, I see way too many photographers
who are super rigid when it comes to their rules
and policies.
As you plan your day, know that I'll be there to help and guide you throughout the process.
You’ll get my advice and expertise when you have questions or concerns. And because I'm
obsessed with preparation and efficiency, you'll have peace of mind with clearly outlined
details, questionnaires, and communication along the way.
Are you more interested in capturing candid
moments, or do you want tons of portraits? Okay!
Do you gravitate towards the deliciously joyful
photos or are you into some epic drama? Let’s do it!
Or... Do you have no idea what you want or need,
and you’re seeking some guidance? That’s OK too!
I totally get that having your photo taken can be
awkward. And you don’t want to look awkward or
posed in your wedding photos.
Trust me, I don’t want that either.
Because I was an actor for much of my life, I’m
super sensitive to when a moment is fake or
when it’s real. And if the photo isn’t believable,
then what’s the point?
It’s not your job to know how to look effortless in photos. Being you is all you
need. Because part of MY job is to make you look great.
But, fact is: If you think you’re awkward in front of a camera, it just means you
haven’t worked with a great photographer yet.
I will guide and coach you so you feel comfortable and at ease. Every
couple needs a little something different. Whether it’s a gentle prompt, a
few jokes, a little game, or some enthusiastic encouragement, I don’t stop
until you’re interacting in ways that are totally natural to YOU. (And I
promise it will be fun and chill.)
Although most people dread family photos, I actually love them. My job as an
actor was to be loud and pleasant all at the same time in front of large groups
of people. So, I have no problem getting through family photos in a way that’s
efficient and hopefully even fun! And because I’ll have asked you about any
sensitive family dynamics ahead of time (we all have them), I'll be the one to
handle it so it's not stressful or awkward for you. You’ll have my full support. So
you can stay present and enjoy each and every moment.
I’ll capture moments intentionally, yet candidly. I stay aware of you and your
VIPs so that when I see something real, sweet, and amazing happening, I'm sure to capture that authentic moment.
Overall, I'm committed to supporting and creating a sense of joy and ease at all times. Because yes,
you want photos of all the special moments. And you want to look amazing in them...
1. Because I’ll be with you ALL DAY on your wedding.
2. I’ll be interacting with all of your guests and your family members {even the
ones who might not be so friendly.} So like, don’t you want someone who is great
with people, genuinely enjoys making others happy, and was actually voted the
Friendliest Person? {Can you tell I’m super proud of this achievement?}
I have an amazing husband, Trey. We continue to
stay curious about each other, and I fall more in
love with him the more we grow together.
Trey and I are obsessed with our little dogs Winnie and Hunter. I will let any dog lick my whole face.
We go all out on Halloween. Trey does everything. Our dogs humor us.
Game nights and poker nights are my favorite. If you have one and you invite me, I'll most likely come.
