“This is a figure eight knot,” Jason proudly told me, sweating just a little bit and breathing a bit heavier than usual.

He and Sarah had just tied a huge figure eight knot together with a large random rope in the middle of their engagement session. “We bonded over rock climbing,” she said, explaining why and how they know how to tie knots.

This was a first for me: a couple that literally and spontaneously tied the knot during their engagement session.

Sarah and Jason, I absolutely loved our session together! You two have such a great sense of humor and such a charming ease about you. I loved hanging out and making photos with the two of you, and I can’t wait to do it again in May…. when you tie the knot. Again.
