Jason stopped dancing with his mother during their dance together, he looked her in the eyes, and he made sure she heard the lyrics to the song as it played. “I’m everything I am because you loved me,” he mouthed, to make sure she got the impact of her contribution to his life.

This wasn’t the only moment of true connection and expressed gratitude during Jason and Christopher’s wedding. In fact, there seemed to be a steady ebb and flow of deeply powerful and moving expressions of love and appreciation followed by moments where we could all laugh and catch our breath. I feel so lucky that I was able to be part of it and that I was welcomed as one of your tribe. Of course there were also moments of utter silliness, giddy excitement, and fierce photo shoot realness. That balance is what makes you two so special. I couldn’t be happier that the two of you are starting your life together as husbands.
