Greenpoint Loft Wedding - Brooklyn NYC Photographer - Zanny and Lucas

When Lucas and Zanny told me all that they wanted me to capture within 3 hours (cocktail hour, ceremony, first dance, parent dances, speeches, and family photos), I was doubtful. When we did it all in 3 hours and had some time for portraits of the two of them, I was amazed and inspired.

I wasn’t excited just because we’d squeezed it all in. I was invigorated because it was a couple hours jam packed with so much emotion, so much excitement, and because Lucas and Zanny did it all their own way. They turned the wedding thing on its head, broke the rules, and were exhilaratingly present.

Zanny and Lucas, you two are stars. As a photographer, I’m probably not supposed to say this, but I love how little you cared about photos and how much you care about the love, the experience, and at the core of things, the beautiful marriage that is now beginning. Congratulations!
