Socially Distanced Hackensack Courthouse Wedding

On March 8th, 2020, I photographed my last wedding before the Coronavirus pandemic shut everything down. Of course I didn’t know it at the time; I had a busy spring ahead of myself with tons of weddings that one by one got postponed. It was quiet, dark, and somewhat scary.

On June 12th, Kahyo and James lit up my life with my first socially distanced wedding. And it couldn’t have been a brighter, easier, or more joyful return.

Kahyo and James welcomed the intimate wedding ceremony, attended by five guests on a gorgeous summer day. We then made our way to James’ parents’ home, where they had put together a small outdoor celebration full of love.

Kahyo and James, your wedding may have been small in size, but it was huge in heart. The two of you glided through the day, and I was blown away by your kindness, warmth, and generosity. I’m thrilled and honored that I got to celebrate with you. Congratulations!

Do you feel the love?

I know it can feel scary, but I promise you won't be locked into anything, and it will be fun to connect.

If you like what you're seeing and are curious to know more, I'm just a quick message away.

We cannot sing the praises of David Perlman enough. Most importantly he made us feel at ease during the entire day (and really the entire planning process). You can see it in our photos how comfortable we felt around him, sharing a very intimate and special day. We’re very lucky that we choose him as we not only have amazing images (and album) from our wedding, but also a new friend. - Evan S.
