Irresistibly Joyful Brooklyn Bridge and Dumbo Engagement

“DAVID!!!! It happened, it happened!!”

Getting this Instagram message, you’d think I had just been proposed to, I was so excited.

Michele and my online relationship started 7 months earlier, when she reached out saying that she loved my photos and knew she wanted me to do her engagement photos…. only she wasn’t engaged yet. Her enthusiasm and humor jumped off the page, and she said she felt like it was coming soon since her boyfriend Ricky all of a sudden suggested she start getting her nails done, and his mother casually asked Michele her ring size as they were shopping for costume jewelry.

So when the proposal happened and I got the excited message the next day, and then we *finally* spoke on the phone, it felt like a conversation between old friends.

Michele, the in-person meeting did not disappoint. Quite the contrary, it was like a walking party that I never wanted to end! And Ricky, you have such a warm, calming, and strong presence and a smile that so easily creeps out to light up the room. The way you look at Michele warms my heart. I’m so happy for you both!

I had a blast at your engagement shoot, and I’m so excited to send along this sneak peek. Enjoy!

Do you feel the love?

I know it can feel scary, but I promise you won't be locked into anything, and it will be fun to connect.

If you like what you're seeing and are curious to know more, I'm just a quick message away.

We cannot sing the praises of David Perlman enough. Most importantly he made us feel at ease during the entire day (and really the entire planning process). You can see it in our photos how comfortable we felt around him, sharing a very intimate and special day. We’re very lucky that we choose him as we not only have amazing images (and album) from our wedding, but also a new friend. - Evan S.
