I steadied myself on the slack line, bent down, and tried to take a step forward as I gently let go of the tree that I was holding onto. Immediately I lost balance and landed on the ground one foot below me. Slacklining is hard.
What does this have to do with a wedding? For Celina and Greg, everything. They wanted their wedding to be a chill, fun day of games and great food with their closest friends and family. I love that Celina and Greg decided to rent a house in Sag Harbor for the week so that their families could vacation together before having a wedding in the backyard… which was right on the water! On the wedding day, Celina’s father officiated an intimate ceremony before the families were joined by some of the couple’s closest friends for a beautiful day of slacklining, giant Jenga, cornhole, and other games that I’ve never heard of.
Celina and Greg, you successfully created a chill and playful beachside backyard celebration with incredible food. And more than that, you created a marriage that is so clearly meant to be. The two of you are so kind, so generous of spirit, so giving and loving to those around you. I’m inspired by the way you work together as a team and by the way you look at each other with unfiltered and unconditional love. I’m honored that you trusted me to capture your wedding day, and I couldn’t be happier for you two. Congratulations!
